This South African native grew up on the stage, performing and exploring everything from Mozart to musical theatre, folk, country and jazz. Annie has performed in London, New York, South Africa and of course Toronto, which has been her home now for the last twelve years. She has over 18 years of experience as a vocal coach and choir director and continues to teach voice in Toronto where she is quickly making a name for herself in the Toronto Music Scene. The people are talking about Annie who performs live with some of the best musicians in Town. Moon Stained Black may be described by Annie as follows: A darkness had overcome me, most of my life had felt like one failed attempt at living after another. I was happy on the outside and bored on the inside…and no one would have known but for those closest to me. I did not understand where I had gone wrong, why there had been so much emotional pain and why I felt so stuck in my mistakes, in my past. I was surrounded by good people and I myself have always felt like I am good, yet there was a deep loneliness, a yearning for purpose, to understand the meaning of life, a longing for peace. A longing to let go and to find solace in my dreams.
